Huge shout out to Permobil Canada and Allan Boyd for inviting Mitirino at their awesome booth.

The functional prototype of Mitirino Advance LT has been met with a lot of smiles and excitement.

The updated steering control cable system worked well and people were pleased with the intuitiveness and overall temperament of the ride.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and work towards a production model continues!

First impressions with Mitirino Advance

At People In Motion 2018 - Toronto

This year's Toronto People In Motion was the first for the new Mitirino Advance!

The attendance was low, but Mitirino Advance got encouraging feedback from many of the visitors. Many smiled, some took test rides, and overall the prototype held awesome during the whole show.

It was my main objective to get people to smile and that was accomplished :)

Next step is a foldable frame with proper cable management and more advanced steering control.

Fully Functional Prototype

The fully functional proof of concept is now a fact!

It has an electric motor and battery (from Revelo.ca), the control is through a control stick and hard link (similar to cargo bikes), and the chair can be mounted with easy to use clip-ons.

The first tests with the prototype are extremely promising.

New work space

Not as spotless as the space at Cheelcare, but better suited for cutting metal and welding.

With my new welding machine I was able to make my first few welds and start on the frame for the second prototype.

Talking With Henry

Talking With Henry

I met Henry Chong from revelo.ca and he has been great help and support for me from day one.

This is a 4 second movie that showed me the power of having a vision. Henry took this movie just to show me how even the simplest object can become powerful visual story, and this is exactly what this short movie became for me as it gave me much needed encouragement to continue with my efforts.

November 13th, 2016

The new season is starting and we got some gracious support from our friends at https://www.cheelcare.com . The team at Cheelcare has decided to let us work in their beautiful workshop and we can't say "Thank you!" enough

This is a big upgrade for Mitirino Inc. and will move the main operations out of my living room.

Additionally, the CheelCare team has significant experience with building their own prototypes, programming their own robotics software and using computer design for real production. I was already able to improve the design of Advance 2.0 just by spending a few minutes with them and having my mind refreshed by the true engineering going on there.

Now that we have the space I expect a much more consistent progress and will be updating this blog with all the latest developments at Mitirino Inc.
